SAN JOSE, Calif - San Jose State scored four straight goals to overcome a 1-0 deficit on its way to a 4-1 victory Tuesday night in a non-conference men's soccer game at Spartan Stadium. Freshman John Joslin scored the lone Aggie goal in the first half as UC Davis opened its 2009 season.

The Aggies scored the first goal of the game when Joslin connected late in the 18th minute. Senior Chris Leer set up the score with an assist on a cross from the right side as UC Davis took a 1-0 lead.

The advantage would hold up until the Spartans scored two goals in a seven-minute span later in the half. The first came off of the foot of Oscar Yniguez on a direct kick in the 34th minute before Oscar Monjaras converted a penalty kick in the 41st minute. SJSU made it 3-1 in the 61st minute when Nick Cukar scored an unassisted goal before the Spartans posted a final goal in the 88th minute.

SJSU outshot UC Davis, 14-8. Joslin's goal came on his only shot of the game. Rene Cuellar had four of the Aggies' eight shots.
