DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis men's tennis team was defeated by Montana, 4-3, Friday afternoon in a non-conference men's tennis match at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The Grizzlies swept through doubles before the Aggies rallied in singles. Michael Reiser, Hunter Lee and Tyler Lee each picked up wins for UC Davis (2-10).

Doubles started with a Montana win at No. 2 as Raydner Ramos and Felipe Raw defeated Nic Amaroli and Reiser, 8-5. The Grizzlies clinched the doubles point at No. 1 as Mikolaj Borkowski and Carl Kuschke outlasted Hunter Lee and Nick Lopez, 8-4.

In singles, Montana made it 2-0 as Colin Dektar defeated Lopez in straight sets at No. 1. The next match went to the Aggies at No. 2 where Reiser defeated Borkowski, 6-2, 6-4. The Grizzlies took a 3-1 lead on Ramos' win at No. 3 over Chris Aria.

Hunter Lee brought the Aggies back within 3-2 as he posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Raw at No. 3. The momentum shifted once again to Montana when Kuschke provided the clinching win at No. 5 with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Amaroli. The final UC Davis point came at No. 6 with Tyler Lee's 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory against David Cysneiros.

UC Davis is back in action Sunday when it faces Gonzaga in Reno at 12 p.m.
