BERKELEY, Calif. - UC Davis sophomore Dahra Zamudio picked up a singles victory on Saturday at the Cal Nike Invitational to advance to the semifinals of the Flight A singles consolation draw. Zamudio also teamed with Herzyl Legaspi to go 1-1 in doubles action on the second day of the three-day tournament.

Zamudio entered the day with a quarterfinal match against Pacific's Julia Hansen and promptly defeated the Tiger, 6-0, 6-2. With the victory, she advances to the semifinals of the consolation draw on Sunday.

In doubles, Zamudio and Herzyl Legaspi defeated San Francisco's Melinda Akerbrandt and Julia Wartenburger, 8-4, in the Flight B doubles consolation quarterfinals. The Aggie duo was defeated in the semifinals by Cal's Stephany Chang and Nelly Radeva, 8-4.
