ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Bryan Kanu scored four minutes into the first overtime period to lead Louisville to a 1-0 win over No. 29 UC Davis during the first game of New Mexico's TLC Plumbing and Utility Invitational Friday afternoon at the UNM Soccer Complex.

The loss is the first of the season for the Aggies and drops them to 2-1-0, while the Cardinals stay undefeated at 2-0-1.

Kanu's goal came unassisted in the 94th minute as he beat the goalkeeper and was able to slip the ball past a defender to end the contest. It was the first goal of the season for Kanu and marked the second time in three games the Cardinals have played extra time.

Both teams managed 13 shots during the game, but a combined six saves kept things scoreless through regulation. Aggie sophomore keeper Ryan McCowan came up with a season-best four saves while Louisville's Andre Boudreaux had two saves.

Senior Quincy Amarikwa totaled a game-best five shots for the Aggies, but failed to find the back of the net. He opened the second half with a shot off the crossbar to narrowly miss his third goal of the season. In addition, seniors Dylan Curtis and Ahmad Hatifie had the Aggies only shots on goal.

Louisville had its opportunities in the game as well and also tallied 13 shots with five shots on goal. Along with Kanu's team-high three shots, five different Cardinals managed shots on goal in the contest.

The Aggies had five corner kicks to the Cardinals' three.

UC Davis ends its run at the tournament Sunday morning at 10 a.m. against Michigan State.
