Final Stats

STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific scored two goals in the final 27 minutes on its way to defeating UC Davis, 2-0, in the regular season finale for both teams. UC Davis entered the game needing a win to have a chance at qualifying for next week's Big West Conference Tournament. The loss drops the Aggies to 7-7-3 and 2-5-1 in the conference. Pacific improved to 10-7-1 and 4-3-1, respectively.

Despite holding a 6-1 edge in shots in the first half, Pacific was unable to score against a stingy UC Davis defense as Sarah Peters had four of her six saves in the first 45 minutes. The battle progressed much the same way in the first portion of the second half as the scoreless tie continue into the 64th minute.

It was late in that minute the hosts would break through as Kristina Wavomba scored her eighth goal of the season to put the Tigers up 1-0. It would stay that way for almost 12 minutes before Pacific added an insurance goal in the 75th minute off the head of Sammi Teramae to make it 2-0.

In all, Pacific outshot UC Davis, 15-8. Laura King led the Tigers with four shots while Wavomba finished with three shots. Samantha Faber had three shots for the Aggies, and Marisa Boge tallied two.
