DAVIS, Calif. -- The UC Davis men's soccer team will make its second conscutive appearance in the NCAA Division I Championship tournament when the Aggies host Denver (10-6-2) in a first-round game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Aggie Soccer Stadium.
Tickets are now on sale through the UC Davis Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 530-752-1915 or walking up to the ticket office. General admission to the event will be $7 for adults and $5 for seniors (65+), students and UC Davis faculty and staff.
Men's soccer becomes the first-ever UC Davis team to qualify twice for the D-I tournament and host a D-I tournament game.
Denver earned an automatic berth into the tournament as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) champions with a record of 8-1-1. The Pioneers are 10-6-2 overall entering the contest.
The winner will face Michigan (12-5-3) in the second round on Tuesday. The Aggies are one of four Big West Conference teams which earned bids, a quartet that also includes conference champion UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.
UC Davis enters the tournament with 12-4-4 overall record.
