STOCKTON, Calif. - Aaron Hanke and Matt Dempsey each collected four hits on Friday afternoon while relief pitcher Eddie Gamboa earned the win after pitching the final five innings as UC Davis beat Pacific 10-5 at Klein Family Field, evening the teams' three-game series at a game each.

The Aggies improved to 10-16 overall while the Tigers dropped to 8-24-1. UC Davis collected 18 hits in the game with Evan Hudson adding three and Kevin James and Michael Jacobellis picking up two each. Catcher Joe Oliveira, infielder Justin Baum and left-fielder Greg Murray each had three hits to lead Pacific.

Gamboa earned hie first decision of the season after relieving starter Brad McAtee in the fifth inning. Gamboa had one strikeout and just one walk while allowing six hits and two runs. McAtee gave up two earned runs and had two strikeouts.

UC Davis took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, extending it to 5-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Dempsey had an RBI single to left in the second while he and Hudson had sacrifice flies during the Aggies' three-run fourth. Pacific cut the lead to 5-3 after a single run in the fourth and two more in the fifth, the latter inning highlighted by an RBI single from Kurt Wideman..

Singles by Dempsey, Hanke and Jacob Jefferies in the sixth inning as UC Davis added two more runs for a 7-3 lead. Oliveira and Wideman each had doubles for the Tigers in the seventh, however, as the Tigers battled back to score a pair of runs and cut the lead to 7-5.

Hanke had a two-run double in the eighth inning as the Aggies made it 10-5 after scoring three more times.
