CHENEY, Wash. - Despite losing all three doubles matches, The University of Montana men's tennis team rallied to win four of the six singles matches to defeat UC Davis, 4-3, Friday, Feb. 2, in Cheney, Wash.

Montana sophomore Colin Dektar, playing at the No. 1 singles position for the first time in his career, came from behind in the final match of the day to defeat UC Davis senior Michael Chin, 7-6, 4-6, 7-5.

Senior Jayce Fitch and junior Daniel Elefant each won their singles matches, but it wasn't quite enough as the Grizzlies picked up wins in straight sets at the No. 2, 3 and 4 positions to go along with Dektar's victory.

The Aggies won the doubles point, by sweeping Montana. Fitch and Elefant defeated Dektar and Ramos, 8-6, while Chin and Garcia defeated Raw and Borkowski, 8-6. Michael Reiser and senior Casey McMakin rounded out the doubles' wins with an 8-3 win over Tommerup and Neidhardt.

Montan's Felipe Raw defeated junior Henri Landes, 6-3, 6-4, while freshman Raydner Ramos downed Tyler Lee, 6-1, 6-4. Aggie junior Justin Garcia then fell to Mikolaj Borkowski, 6-3, 7-6.
