UC Davis senior Katherine O'Rourke was selected as the Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week for the period ending February 25. She helped the Aggies to a seventh-place finish in the highly competitive UC Irvine Invitational, scoring seven goals for the tournament.

O'Rourke had her best offensive game in the Aggies' opener against Loyola Marymount on Saturday, scoring four of her team's seven goals in a 7-6 upset over the No. 7 Lions. She also scored two goals in Sunday's seventh-place win over Hawai'i. Defensively, O'Rourke had three steals and seven drawn exclusions for the weekend, including five against sixth-ranked San Jose State.

UC Davis moved up two places to No. 8 in this week's National Collegiate Women's Top 20, leap-frogging LMU as the top-ranked team in the WWPA. The Aggies return to action on Saturday for a home game against future Big West Conference opponent UC Santa Barbara. The contests starts at 11 a.m. at Schaal Aquatics Center.
