HONOLULU, Hawaii - UC Davis had its four-match winning streak snapped, Monday, in a 5-2 loss at No. 59 Hawaii. Casey McMakin and Henri Landes both won in singles to help the Aggies' effort. Hawaii (8-4) swept doubles to take a 1-0 lead and then won three of the first four singles matches to clinch the victory.

The first singles match to finish was at No. 4 where Jarrod Diepraam defeated Jordan Combs, 6-3, 6-2, to put Hawaii up 2-0. Sascha Heinemann followed at No. 1 with a 7-6, 6-2 victory to up the margin to 3-0.

The remainder of the matches all went three sets. McMakin kept Aggie hopes alive with a 6-3, 6-7, 10-3 victory over Jeff Fitch at No. 5. The win was McMakin's 10th of the season and kept him a perfect 6-0 at the No. 5 spot.

The Rainbow Warriors clinched the match at No. 3 as Chad Faulk outlasted Justin Garcia, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, to make the overall score 4-1. Landes capped off the UC Davis scoring with a 6-3, 6-7, 10-3 win at No. 6.

UC Davis (5-8) is next in action April 1 when it takes on Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
