STOCKTON, Calif. - Belated results were released for the Pacific ITA Fall Invitational, held at at Hal Nelson Tennis Courts in Stockton from November 3-5. UC Davis junior Daniel Elefant defended his No. 1 seed in the 'C' singles bracket, defeating USF's Torin Ching by a 6-2, 7-5 in the final.
Elefant had eliminated his own teammate, freshman Kevin Liang, by a 6-0, 7-6 score in the 'C' semifinal to advance to the title match.
Peter Del Moral finished the tournament with two straight wins in the 'C' consolation bracket. Semifinal opponent Thomas Dawson-Roberts of Saint Mary's withdrew from the match after dropping a 6-0 first set to Del Moral. The Aggie freshman then beat Pacific's Maros Blaha in straight sets, turning in a 6-2, 6-2 final score.
The Pacific Fall Invitational wraps up UC Davis' fall season. The Aggies launch their spring season at Santa Clara on January 20.
