Elefant-Fitch Sweeps Early Round-Robin Play At Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. - The doubles tandem of Daniel Elefant and Jayce Fitch won all three of its round-robin matches in the 'D' flight at the Pacific ITA Fall Invitational men's tennis tournament Friday. The tournament, normally held at Hal Nelson Tennis Courts, was forced indoors to the West Lane Tennis Club due to inclement weather. Only doubles matches were conducted.

Elefant and Fitch beat Nevada's team of Orion Ashmore and Tony Bulich by an 8-4 final, Saint Mary's Dan Anderson and Thomas Dawson in an 8-2 decision, and Petr Sitnikov and Brian van Wagner of the host Tigers by an 8-4 score.

Kevin Liang and Peter Del Moral also won a match for UC Davis, beating Mitch Del Rosario and Torin Ching of San Francisco in an 8-3 tilt.

Action at the Fall Invitational continues through Sunday.
