SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Davis fell to UC Santa Barbara, 1-0, Wednesday night in men's soccer action in Santa Barbara. The first half featured a total of seven shots, five by the Gauchos, and resulted in a scoreless deadlock after 45 minutes. UC Davis held a 7-4 advantage in shots in the second half, but it was a Bryan Byrne goal in the 61st minute that proved to be the difference.

The senior connected for only his second goal of the season and was assisted on the play by Andrew Proctor and Bongomin Otii.

For the match, each team had nine shots. Quincy Amarikwa led the UC Davis attack with four attempts. Byrne came off the bench to lead UC Santa Barbara with three shots.
