SANTA CLARA, Calif. - In his debut for UC Davis, Michael Reiser completed an impressive performance in the Aggies' first tournament of the fall. The sophomore won two matches on Sunday to take the Flight C Singles title. The effort completed a perfect 6-0 weekend for Reiser at the three-day competition. Additionally, the six other Aggies taking part in the tournament went a combined 4-2 in consolation action.

Unlike Saturday when Reiser needed a marathon three-set comeback to even get to the quarterfinals, Reiser had little difficulty getting through Sunday's matches. In the semifinals, he defeated Santa Clara's Blaine Shields, 6-3, 6-4. In the final, he cruised past Fresno Pacific's Marco Foelz, 6-2, 6-2.

In consolation action, Henri Landes, Michael Chin, Kevin Liang and Hunter Lee were all winners for the Aggies. Landes defeated Oregon's Vladamir Pino, 6-2, 6-3. Chin was a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 winner against San Francisco's Thong Tu. Liang won in straight sets over Nevada's Tony Bulich, as did Lee in his match with UNR's Orion Ashmore.

UC Davis continues its fall season next weekend at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic.
