SAN JOSE, Calif. - Despite a combined 26 shot attempts by 16 total players, UC Davis and San Jose State battled to a 0-0 tie in a non-conference women's collegiate soccer match at Spartan Stadium Friday.

The Aggies move to 2-3-1 for the season. The Spartans remain winless at 0-7-1.

Senior goalkeeper Krystyn Lizak recorded a single save in 110 minutes in the UC Davis net to post her second straight shutout. Her counterpart, senior Adrienne Herbst, saved Aggie shots by Megan Wall, Julia Gamlen and Kristin Aja to tally her first career shutout.

San Jose State managed to put a ball through the posts early in the second overtime, but the attempt was called back by an offsides violation.

Gamlen, Aja and Heather Finlayson each led UC Davis with three total shots. Sophomore Kristin Krale led the Spartans had three attempts, although only Jessica Scott managed a shot on goal.

The Aggies return home to host Brown on Sunday. Gametime is noon.
