Aggies Fall to Matadors

DAVIS, Calif. - Cal State Northridge scored four goals in the final 25 minutes to break open a 1-0 game on its way to a 5-0 win over UC Davis Friday afternoon at Aggie Field. The loss drops the Aggies to 7-9-2 on the season. The win was the sixth in the last seven games for the Matadors.

Zach Feldman opened the scoring in the fifth minute on an assist from Sean Franklin to make it 1-0. The score remained that way into the second half before the same duo combined to make it 2-0 in the 67th minute. Cal State Northridge (14-3-3) made it 3-0 less than three minutes later before adding two goals in the game's final six minutes.

The Aggies were outshot 17-8. Quincy Amarikwa led UC Davis with two shots.

UC Davis closes out its season Sunday when it hosts Cal Poly at 1:00 p.m. Steve Ernst will be honored prior to the game as part of Senior Day.
