NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Freshman Brian Siu and senior Zach Feldman each scored goals to lead 15th-ranked Cal State Northridge to a 2-0 win over UC Davis in a non-conference men's collegiate soccer match Saturday.

The Aggies fall to 6-8-2 for the year. The Matadors improve to 11-2-3, posting their third straight shutout and their fifth in the past six games.

CSUN broke the scoreless tie in the 44th minute when Devin Deldo advanced a pass to Siu, who fired a shot that was saved by Aggie sophomore goalkeeper Brian Wickers. Siu rebounded the ball, then deflected his second shot off defender Jordan Vanderpoorten.

The Matadors doubled their lead in the 60th minute as Feldman collected the rebound of a Jeff Konoske shot, then sent it back into the lower right corner of the net at the 59:32 mark.

Northridge outshot UC Davis by a 19-15 margin, including a 14-6 edge in the first half. Nicholas Lind and Juan Hernandez each had two shot attempts to lead the Aggies.

Both teams played without key starters in the lineup. Wickers, who finished with five saves in his first career start, minded the net as junior Charles Warne was sidelined with an injury and freshman Derek Shaffer was serving a one-game exclusion after his red card in Wednesday's game against UC Santa Barbara.

The Matadors played without four of their usual starting players. Taylor Canel and Sean Franklin each served their one-game suspension for accumulated yellow cards, and Alec DeMattos and 2004 Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Year Willie Sims were out due to injury.

UC Davis finishes its 2005 season with three straight home games, starting with UC Irvine on November 5.
