Box Score

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Junior Alex Cohen scored a goal in the 16th minute then freshman Ashley Vallis added a second in the 49th to lead Cal Poly to a 2-0 win over UC Davis in a non-conference collegiate women's soccer match at Mustang Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The Aggies drop to 3-6-2 for the year. The Mustangs, ranked 23rd nationally in the NSCAA/adidas poll and 24th by Soccer Buzz magazine, improve to 8-1-3 overall.

Junior Sharon Day sent a cross from the right corner to Cohen in front of the Aggie cage, and Cohen finished the task at the 16:03 mark.

Early in the second half, Vallis and teammate Kaitlyn Lux both advanced on the Aggie cage after beating the back line. Vallis opted to keep possession and fired in a goal at 48:45.
