HEAD COACH BOB BIGGS
"I just thought we played very, very well. I thought we executed in all phases of the game. That's a real credit to the players and coaching staff. I just thought the kids were well-prepared, they were mentally ready to compete, and they just put it all together. It doesn't always happen that way, but everything just fell in place together. There are other games where you're very well-prepared and play hard, but it just doesn't happen."
"I think Jon (Grant) is one of those guys that finds a comfort level. Jon is not so talented that he relies just on his talent, and I think sometimes when you rely just on your talent you're usually emotionally up and down. Jon is cerebral. That's why I say he reminds me a lot of (former QB) Mark Grieb. His strength comes from being so well-prepared and knowing exactly what his reads are that his success comes from his preparation and I think that's what happened on Saturday."
"Top to bottom, particularly with the people that start, there are just a lot of good players on this team. There's a lot of good team speed."
"I was happy for the players (getting the shutout) because when you score 50 points on offense, that's a highlight. But when you shut somebody out, it's just special. It's hard to shut people out."
