  • Title
    Offensive Quality Control
One of the all-time passing leaders in UC Davis history, Randy Wright returns to his alma mater to serve as an offensive quality control assistant for the 2020 season.

Wright started 39 out of 44 games during his four years as an Aggie, amassing totals of 1,289 attempts, 755 completions, 32 touchdowns and 8,799 yards. He finished his career as the all-time leader in attempts and completions, while his yards total ranked second until Jake Maier surpassed him in 2019. Wright earned All-Great West Conference honorable mention as a freshman, and claimed the team's Coaches' Award as a senior. He also has the unusual distinction of having started – and won – four straight Causeway Classics.

As a prep, Wright was an all-state performer and North Bay League Co-MVP at Cardinal Newman High School, where he later returned as an assistant coach. His older brother, Kyle, preceded him at QB at CNHS and later went on to play at UTEP.

Wright graduated from UC Davis with a degree in communication in 2013. He has worked in the fields of marketing and public relations, home mortgages, and executive recruiting; and now returns to the Aggies to begin his collegiate coaching career.
