A NorCal native from Sacramento, California, Xanthe joins the Aggies to instill her profound knowledge of the game and aid in fostering a constructive team culture.
Plescia began her water polo career at 11 years old with the American River Water Polo Club. In high school, she competed for C. K. McClatchy High School where brought her team to victory in Conference Championships all four years she attended.
From there, she pursued a collegiate career at University of Hawaii at Manoa, graduating with a major in Kinesiology in 2017. During her time with the Rainbow Wahine, she competed in back-to-back Big West Championships in 2015 and 2016, taking home title of Big West Champion in 2015. That same year, she competed in the NCAA tournament with the program.
As soon as she came back to California, she continued her passion for the sport and returned to her Alma mater to coach at the high school level. In the first four years of her professional career, she was the assistant coach to the C. K. McClatchy head coach of 15 years and her father, Stephen Plescia.
Xanthe took the reigns as head coach for the past two seasons, and thanks to her dedication and guidance on the pool deck, has led the Lions to the title of Metro League Conference Champions every year she has coached there except for 2023.
