Rachael Mack

Rachael Mack, the Director of Performance Nutrition for UC Davis Athletics, joined the department in 2023. Since her start, Rachael has been instrumental in enhancing the performance and well-being of UC Davis' varsity sports teams. Rachael is at the forefront of providing sport-specific nutrition support and education to the diverse range of varsity sports teams. 

With a rich background in sports nutrition, Rachael brings a wealth of experience to her role. Prior to her current position, she served on the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee from 2018 to 2021. During this time, she had the honor of attending and supporting Team USA athletes at prestigious events such as the 2019 Pan American Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Rachael's expertise extends beyond the Olympic stage. In the 2022-2023 NBA season, she earned recognition as a member of the NBA Medical Staff of the Year while working with the Sacramento Kings. Her commitment to optimizing the health and performance of athletes has garnered her acclaim in both national and international sports arenas.

Originally from Davis, CA, she has a deep connection to the community, the university, and the athletics department. Not only is Rachael a proud alumna of UC Davis. but also a former member of women's lacrosse team.

Outside of her professional achievements, Rachael is married to her husband Charlie and has a yellow lab named Wrigley.
