Prima Glorioso

With an impressive 29 years of coaching experience spanning high school, club, college, and the Men's Professional Volleyball League, Prima Glorioso is a pillar in the world of volleyball. Her lifelong dedication to the sport began as a standout player at Sacramento City College, where she helped her team secure a 4th place finish in the State of California, and continued her academic and athletic career at Cal State East Bay (then Cal State Hayward). Since 2007, Prima has been integral to the NCVA High Performance Program, coaching top A1 athletes and leading the Boys International High-Performance Team to multiple medals at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships. In 2016, she led her team to a Gold Medal in the Junior International Boys Division.  During her time at Menlo College, Prima served as the First Assistant for the Women's and Men’s Volleyball Program.

In her first season as an Aggie assistant, Glorioso served as the team's director of operations, helping to schedule practices and games during the team's most successful season in recent memory. In a preseason schedule that forced the team to start the season with a month of road games, Glorioso was able to schedule nearly all games at local venues such as California and Stanford, allowing the team to play high-level competition without having to leave the comforts of Northern California.

Prima founded Core in 2006, providing a competitive and supportive environment for athletes and helping many achieve their dreams of playing at the next level. Core has a remarkable track record of helping athletes play at the next level. As the Program Director for both Boys and Girls volleyball programs, Prima led the Granite Bay Girls Team to a Division 2 Section Title in 2023, and the boys side to two section semi final appearances. Prima was named Sierra Foothill League Coach of the Year in 2024. Continuing her winning tradition, this past summer Prima led her Core 18 Elite boys team to a USAV National Championship Gold Medal in 18 Open. Prima’s certifications, including USA CAP II, Gold Medal Squared, Impact, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Champions of Character (NAIA), underscore her commitment to excellence and continuous learning.

Residing in Fair Oaks with her husband Justin and their daughters Kiana and Gabriela, Prima remains dedicated to growing the game and inspiring and developing the next generation of student athletes.
