Patrick Vaughn’s experience in HR has spanned over 15 years across many different sectors: software companies, luxury retail brands and state and community non-profits before joining Intercollegiate Athletics in 2023. As the Human Resources Generalist, he manages recruitment, onboarding, training compliance and performance management. 

In his previous roles on campus, Patrick has supported the Shared Services Center, Student Housing and Dining, the Biology Academic Success Center and Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Originally from Alabama, Patrick earned a B.A. in Business Management and Communications from the University of Alabama. While he misses the food and thunderstorms in the South, he enjoys the culture and beautiful landscape of California. His wife, Jennifer, also works for UC Davis in Student Affairs. The two enjoy adventures with their young son and their adopted pit bull rescue.
