Lawson arrives in Davis ahead of the 2026 season, serving as an offensive quality control and assistant offensive line coach.
Lawson brings a stacked resume to the Aggies, last serving as Tight Ends Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for NAIA school Southern Oregon University for the last two seasons. While at SOU, Lawson was also a recruiting specialist, acting as the head recruiter for the team's Northern California prospects.
Before making the trip North, Lawson spent a year across the Causeway as a special teams and offensive quality control coach for Sacramento State in 2023.
He came back to California after a stint as an offensive quality control coach for the College of Idaho in 2022, helping the team win the Frontier Conference Championship in the process.
Lawson graduated from Santa Clara in 2015. More recently, he received a Bachelor's in Data Analytics from Western Governor's University in 2026.
