Sweeney joined the Aggies ahead of the 2026 season as Director of Operations following a playing career with the University of Oregon from 2021-25.

A 31-game starter for the Ducks, Sweeney scored 31 goals over her five-year career at the midfielder position, playing in all 16 games and scoring a career-best 13 points in 2023.

Not a stranger to UC Davis, Sweeney competed against the Aggies all five years in a Ducks uniform, scoring for her team in a matchup at UC Davis Health Stadium back on March 1.

Now a coach for the Aggies, Sweeney was instrumental in the scheduling and execution of both games and practice, helping her team secure trips to Cal and Marquette while also playing non-conference matchups against Cornell, Delaware State, and first year team Florida State.
