UC Davis Athletics’ senior associate athletics director of sports administration, graduated from UC Davis in 2000 with a psychology degree and a minor in human development. Seven years later, after a successful tenure at Cal as its Director of Olympic Sports, Josh Flushman returned to Davis in 2007 to serve as an assistant athletic director, director of football operations, administrator for youth sports camps and manager for home athletics events.

A member of UC Davis’s senior management team, Flushman also supervises several sports in his current position as senior associate athletics director, sports administration — a list that includes football, baseball, softball, men's water polo, women’s water polo, men’s soccer and women's soccer. As the supervisor for ICA’s strength and conditioning, sports medicine, sports psychology, and nutrition programs, Flushman plays a key role in enhancing the student-athlete experience for over 700 individuals.

Flushman has remained involved with UC Davis football since he returned to his alma mater: As Director of Football Operations, Flushman was responsible for all administrative duties related to the Aggies' Football Championship Subdivision Program, including team travel and budget. Over the years he transitioned to the role of associate athletics director and, most recently, senior associate AD, which includes oversight of the program’s budget, daily operations and scheduling, among other duties.

Flushman’s tenure at Cal built the foundation of success for his current position; as the Golden Bears’ Olympic sports director, he managed day-to-day and long-term operations for 24 men's and women's programs. NCAA rules compliance, event management, recruiting, creating and managing budgets were core responsibilities of this position.

In addition to his BA degree, Flushman earned a master’s degree in sports psychology from John. F. Kennedy University in 2005.

He and his wife, Claudia, reside in Davis with their son, Lucas.
