Greg Harasymowycz brings a 25-year coaching resume to the UC Davis Aggie Volleyball team and is known for bringing a positive, enthusiastic coaching style, focused on skill and team development. Greg has coached all levels of volleyball, including Men's and Women's Collegiate volleyball, Boys and Girls Club volleyball, and Girls' high school volleyball, as well as multiple collegiate volleyball summer camp programs.  Â
Collegiately, Greg served as an assistant coach at Iowa State University (ISU) Women's Volleyball (1 year), UCLA Men's Volleyball (4 years), and Cal State Northridge (CSUN) Men's Volleyball (6 years). At ISU, Greg worked under Head Coach Christy Johnson Lynch. That year, ISU reached the Sweet 16 of the National Tournament. Greg had the honor of coaching three (3) All-American athletes. Overall, ISU finished 22-8 that season with a final rank of #16. At UCLA, Greg served under legendary Head Coach Al Scates, widely acknowledged as the greatest coach in Collegiate Volleyball history. At UCLA, Greg coached several All-American athletes, including one who later became an Olympian. Overall, UCLA finished 76-57 during Greg's four (4) years there. At CSUN, Greg coached under Head Coach Jeff Campbell, coached several All-American athletes, and finished 115-70 during his six (6) years there.
As a club coach, Greg coached as a head and assistant coach for various boys' teams, including Pacific Palisades Volleyball Club, Legacy Volleyball Club, and Santa Monica Beach Club. Additionally, Greg coached as head coach for several girls' club teams, including Pacific Coast Volleyball Club, Lava Volleyball Club, and Reef Volleyball Club. Greg has earned several Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the US Junior National Championships for both boys' and girls' clubs (2007, 2023, 2024, and 2025).Â
As a High School Coach, Greg had the honor of coaching at Newbury Park High School for the past 9 seasons as an assistant coach for the Girls' Volleyball team. Â
Greg played Men's Volleyball Collegiately at CSUN, graduating in 2000 with a degree in Liberal Studies, and grew up in Buffalo, New York. Â
