A former professional player overseas for seven years, James enters her third season as Director of Administration for UC Davis women's basketball in 2026-27.

A four year letterwinner at Arizona, James returns to her roots in the Sacramento area with her first coaching gig with the Aggies.

As Director of Administration, James records and cuts film for both team practices and opposing teams, often seen on the sideline working to ensure that the Aggies have what they need to study on film day in and day out.
