Danielle (Dee) Davis

Well-known and well-respected in the volleyball coaching sphere, Dee Davis reunites with Dan Conners after she played under him when he was the top assistant at the University of Illinois.

A four-year starter for the Fighting Illini and a three-time Big Ten All-Academic Team selection, Davis has since enjoyed an excellent coaching career while holding many different positions within athletics.

As the Aggies mental performance coach since 2024, Davis has served as Conner's top assistant through the most successful two-year stretch for the Aggies in program history, winning a program-best 13 wins in 2024 before breaking that record with 16 wins in 2025.

Many players on the team credit Davis' blend of physical and mental performance for the success the team has had over that period.

Davis’ most recent endeavor was the creation of her own business, Davis Empowerment LLC, which provides mental performance coaching for Division I women’s volleyball programs and individual athletes.

She spent two seasons as the lead assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Davidson College while dedicating her time to the Dallas Arsenal Volleyball Club as the Director of Recruitment, Athlete Empowerment and Sport Performance, helping high school athletes navigate the college recruiting process.

Prior to her stint at Davidson, Davis held volunteer assistant coaching positions at Stanford (2020), Santa Clara (2019), and Ohio (2018).

Davis, a 2016 graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, also earned a Masters of Sport Administration and Business Administration in 2019 from Ohio University.
