Belenis joined Suzanne Isidor’s staff in the fall of 2024 and begins her first coaching season in the spring of 2025.
She comes to the lacrosse team after playing as a defender for five years on the team from 2017-2021.
She has served as the teams defensive coordinator, helping to develop and mold 2025 All-Big 12 goalkeeper Ally Richardson-Pepper.
Richardson-Pepper’s 2025 season proved to be one of the best for any goalkeeper in the Aggies varsity era, posting the second most saves in a season while also having double digit saves in seven different games.
Belenis’ influence has also extended into the defensive zone, using her experience as a lacrosse defender to help teach and develop many of the young players on the team. In a March 28 game against Florida, the seventh ranked team in the country by the IWLCA, her defense helped to hold the Gators to only three goals in the game’s final 20 minutes.
