2024-25 (Senior): Saw action in one tournament for the Aggies ... Scored +34 to finish 71st at the Causeway Invitational (Feb. 24-25).

2023-24 (Junior): Competed in five tournaments for the Aggies ... Posted best finish of the year with a +17 and 12th-place finish at the Battle of the Boundary (Feb. 12-13) ... Shot +29 (42nd) at the Big West Championships (Apr. 14-16).

2022-23 (Sophomore): Competed in five tournaments, three for the Aggies and two as an individual… Mata’s best placement came at the Causeway Invitational where she tied for 54^th and carded an 8-over 80… She tied for 66^th at the Valley Invitational after carding a three round score of 29-over 245… She ends the season with an 80.85 average score.

2021-22 (Freshman): Competed in six of the 10 tournaments for UC Davis…Her best placement came at the Big West Championship where she tied for 31^st and carded a three-round score of 28-over 244… She tied for 52^nd at The Valley Invitational after carding a 29-over 245 three-round score… She tied for 59^th at The Show where she carded her best round of the season at 2-over 74 in the second, en route to a 17-over 233 final score… She ends the season with a 79.28 average score.

PALO ALTO HS ’21
Wrapped up her prep career by helping lead the Vikings to four CIF Central Coast section titles and four Santa Clara Valley Athletic League crowns… Helped the Vikings to a state title as a junior — the first Northern California team to win a CIF state title… Named the CIF section freshman of the year and was an All-CIF second team choice… Also earned second-team all-section honors as a sophomore and first-team honors as a junior… Four-time all-league first team selection… Outside of her prep career, she finished second at the 2020 Sacramento Junior Open, won the 5th Annual Ski Week Lagos tournament in 2021 with a round of 68, and finished second at the 8th Annual Second Harvest tournament in 2021 with rounds of 72-71.

PERSONAL
Born in Sant Cugat del Valles, Barcelona, Spain, and moved to the United States when she was in the seventh grade… Parents are Santiago and Merce… Has a brother, Sergi, who is entering his senior year on the men’s golf team at UC San Diego in 2021-22… Favorite course is Pebble Beach... Bucket list items include: traveling to Bora Bora, hiking Machu Picchu, and becoming fluent in French… Chose UC Davis because of its, “outstanding academics, great team chemistry, and location.”
