GRIDLEY HS [apos]12: Won Junior Olympics national championship in shot put as a senior, sweeping fields through Pacific Association and Region 14 meets... Placed 3rd at CIF state championships earlier in the summer with PR of 61-6... Won all but one meet from season opener (at UC Davis) through Northern Section championships in 2012... Also a PA and Region 14 winner in discus, having placed 2nd at CIF-NS meet... Took 3rd in both shot and discus at section championships as a junior... Coached by his grandfather, Ed Roach... Also a Butte View League honorable mention in football... Won school[apos]s Mr. Bulldog award for sports and academics. PERSONAL: Born in Chico, Calif.... Majoring in atmospheric science, with hopes of becoming a meteorologist for the National Weather Service... Parents are Joseph & Brenda Donnahoe... Proudest personal accomplishment was his J.O. national title.
