• 2026 Big West Conference All-Academic Team

2026: Competed in seven meets for the Aggies...Collected 13 top-ten finishes on the season...Recorded a personal best at the Pacific Coast Invite in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.86...At the Aggie Open, he recorded two first place finishes with the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, and individually took third place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.28...Also competed at the Causeway Classic to take two second place finishes with the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, as well as secured a sixth place individual finish in the 100 meter dash (10.89)...Competed at the West Coast Relays to take fifth and sixth place while apart of the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams...Also took fifth place with the 4x200 meter relay team at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays...Closed out the season competing in three seperate events at the Big West Championships, including taking a sixth place finish with the 4x100 meter relay squad.

2025: Competed in seven meets for the Aggies in his debut season...Collected 11 top-ten finishes on the season...At the Causeway Classic, he recorded two second place finishes with the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, and individually went fifth in the 200 meter dash with a 22.89 and in the 100 with his personal best of a 10.89...Also set a personal best in the 200 meter dash at the Beach invite, going ninth overall with his time of 21.78.

Cathedral Catholic HS: Named the San Diego Western League Champion...Also holds the record for the 4x100 sprints...Academically, Leyva spent 7 semesters on the honor roll. 

Personal: Parents are Ricardo and Kristina Leyva...Has a sister as well, Isabella Leyva..."I chose UC Davis because the school has everything I want in a school, and more. The community is amazing and the coach’s and my teammates are great."
