2008 : Primary event was 3,000 steeplechase... Hit season-best 9:40.10 at Aggie Twilight meet... Also appeared in open 3K (8:54.03) and 5K (15:44.83) in different meets.

CROSS COUNTRY : Competed in four meets as a sophomore in 2008... Aggies[apos] No. 3 scorer at Hornet Jamboree, finishing 12th overall... Appeared in two meets as a freshman, incluing Big West Conference Championship (47th).

SAN RAFAEL HS [apos]07 : Two-time qualifier for CIF state cross country championships... Finished 13th at state meet as a senior (16:15)... Advanced by virtue of 2nd-place finish at North Coast Section championships... Also posted top-three finishes at Ed Sias, Stanford, Crystal Springs and Mariner Invitationals... Won Marin County Athletic League titles in 1,600 and 3,200 as a senior, then captured NCS Redwood Empire championship in mile... Took 2nd in 2-mile at section Meet of Champions... Also an MOC qualifer as a sophomore... Six-time section Scholar-Athlete... Graduated among top five in his class... National Merit Scholar.

PERSONAL : Born in San Rafael, Calif.... Has not declared a major, but hopes for a career in math or physics... Parents are Robert and Ann Buscho... An event in history he wishes he had witnessed is Newton penning the Principia Mathematica.
