2026: Competed in four meets for the Aggies...Competed at Brutus Hamilton in the Hammer Throw where he placed 9th with a distance of 50.05 meters...Competed at the Causeway Classic where he recorded a personal best with a distance of 50.84 and placed 2nd. 

2025: Did not compete this season. 

Hartnell College: During his time with the panthers, Ruiz posted seventh on the record board in the hammer throw.

Personal: Born and raised in Salinas, California...Parents are Elizabeth and Fernando...Has a little sister, Fernanda...Andres is a first generation college student and athlete, and "chose Davis because it felt like home, and it’s the perfect place for [him] to accomplish [his] goals and make [his] family proud"
