2016: Continued steady improvement to become one of the Aggies' top distance runners... Hit 10k lifetime best of 30:02.83 at SF Distance Carnival, good for sixth all-time at UC Davis... Finished fourth in 10k and sixth in 5k at Big West Championships to complete solid double and score big points for the team... Also finished third in 3000 at Causeway Classic.
2015: Finished sixth in 10,000 at Big West Championship... Set career-bests in 3,000 (8:31.84) and 5,000 (14:44.72) and 10,000 (30:28.34)... Was third in 3K at Causeway Dual... Also competed in 5k at conference meet... Placed third in 3K at Cal Opener and in 5K at Aggie Open.
2014: Redshirted.
2013: Competed in seven meets, including the Big West Championships... Had season-best mark of 3:58.08 in the 1,500 at Sac State Mid-Major Challenge... Also ran 5,000 three times... Was second in 3K at Causeway Dual and third in 5K at Aggie Open.
CROSS COUNTRY: Raced in six meets during 2015 season, including Big West Championship (16th) and NCAA West Regional (34th)... Placed a season-best fifth at season-opening Aggie Open... Competed in five meets for the Aggies in 2014, posting a pair of top-20 finishes... Crossed the line in 19:10 in the season-opening Aggie Open to finish 11th while ending up 17th at the Big West Conference Championships in a time of 26:30.8... Posted his best 8K time of the season at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, finishing 60th with a time of 24:52... One of six Aggies to run at the NCAA West Regionals, crossing the line in a time of 32:14 (119th)... Selected to the Big West Conference fall All-Academic Team. ESPERANZA HS '12: All-Southern Section performer and Century League champion in both track & field and cross country... Finished 5th in 3,200 (PR 9:18.73) at section championship as a senior, cutting 14 seconds from his winning time at Century League meet... Three-time CIF state finalist in cross country, placing 17th in final season as an individual qualifier... Took 9th at CIF-SS Divisional finals the week before states in 2011.
PERSONAL: Born in La Palma, Calif.... Majoring in biological sciences, with plans of becoming a doctor... Parents are Manoj & Ahuti Dholakia... Little-known fact: he played baseball for 13 years, even competing in Hawaii with a travel team... Note to announcers: name is pronounced "ah-MAHR doh-LAH-kee-ah."
