Former All-Mountain West honoree Morgan Lamb returned to her home area to join the UC Davis softball staff as a volunteer assistant to begin the 2021 season.
Originally from nearby Elk Grove, Lamb enjoyed an outstanding four-year career with the Broncos from 2016 through 2019, batting .320/.406/.557 with 19 doubles and 22 home runs in 163 career games. She hit career-high marks in all three slash stats (.356/.446/.604) as a sophomore, earning second-team All-Mountain West Conference accolades. Lamb boosted Boise State to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in her final two seasons, even contributing 2-for-3 hitting in the program's historic 9-1 victory over Stanford at the 2019 Gainesville Regional.
Before her collegiate career, Lamb starred for Elk Grove High School, earning three first-team All-Delta Valley League awards plus Sacramento Bee Player of the Year and MaxPreps All-State first-team nods. She played her travel ball with the California Grapettes.
