Doug Menefee is in his third year at UC Davis, joining head coach Erin Thorpe's staff as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 2022 season.
He joined the Aggies following a six-year stint at the junior college level and a vast amount of experience coaching at the high school level in the Sacramento area.
Menefee has served as an assistant coach at American River College since 2016, where he specialized in working with the Beavers' catchers, outfielders and corner infielders. He created practice plans specific to each athlete and helped manage games.
He also spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons as an assistant coach at Lincoln High School. Prior to his time as an assistant at Lincoln, Menefee was the head coach at Placer High School in Auburn from 2011 to Dec. of 2015, leading Placer to back-to-back 8-2 league finishes in 2012 and 2013.
