2019: Ended the season with the following NCAA rankings: No. 8 in shot accuracy (.591), No. 24 in shots on goal per game (1.73), No. 74 in shots per game (2.93)… Ranked No. 3 among all league players in game-winning goals (3), No. 5 in shots per game (2.93), No. 6 in goals per game (0.40), No. 9 in total shots (44)… and No. 10 in points per game (0.87)… Recorded four points with his brace at Saint Mary’s (9/26), the third-highest single-game point total posted by a Big West player… No Aggie scored more goals, or recorded more points in one game than Heptner at SMC… Started 12 of 15 games played… Scored game-winning goals at Sacramento State (10/5), vs. CSUN (10/12) and UC Riverside (10/19)… Also scored against UC Santa Barbara (11/24) when the Ags hosted the Gauchos in the Big West Tournament championship match… Nineteen of 35 shots were on goal… Posted a season-high six shots at Saint Mary’s; recorded a season-high four shots on goal in each Big West Tournament game vs. Cal State Fullerton (semifinal) and UCSB (championship match)… Twenty-six of his 44 shots were on goal.
2016: One of eight players to appear in all 20 matches, making 15 starts... Finished the year tied for second on the team in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists... His 45 shots ranked tied for fifth in the league and he stood sixth in the conference in shots per game (2.25)... Tied for 10th in the league in goals and tied for second with three game-winning strikes on the year... Scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Pacific on Sept. 1 -- setting career highs in both goals and points -- and added scores against Portland (9/18), Cal State Fullerton (10/8), and Sacramento State (10/15)... His goals against the Pilots and Titans were also game winners... Ended 2-for-2 on penalties against Pacific and Portland... Finished with a career-high five shots at Loyola Marymount on Sept. 11... Had at least one shot in 17 of the team's 20 matches... Placed nearly half (20) of his 45 shots on frame for the year, leading the team in that category.
2015: Appeared in 20 of the team's 21 matches as a true freshman, making 12 starts... Made his Division I debut off the bench in the season opener at Seattle on Aug. 28, following that up with his first career start at Washington two days later... Scored his first career goal in his fourth career match against Wisconsin (9/6)... Added his first career assist as part of a 1-1 draw with Big West Conference rival CSUN on Oct. 8... Finished with a season-high four shots three times against CSU Bakersfield (9/4), the Badgers, and Sacramento State (10/24)... Had six matches with multiple shots... His 28 shots overall ranked third on the team, while he was one of five with 10-or-more shots on goal -- ranking third on the team with 13.
CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HS '15: Four-year varsity letter winner for the Falcons... A three-time all-league selection and two-time league MVP as a junior and senior... Two-time Sacramento Bee Player of the Year... Led the state of California in scoring as a junior and senior, finishing his career with 93 goals and 16 assists... Led the Falcons to back-to-back conference titles in 2013-14, and a section title as a junior... Also played baseball for the Falcons as a senior, helping his team to a league title as a pitcher and outfielder.
PERSONAL: Parents are Theresa, a UC Davis alumnae, and Maureen... Has an older sister, Alex... Biomedical engineering major at UC Davis who has set his sights on playing professionally... Lists attending or playing in a World Cup, traveling to Europe, and skydiving, as the top three items on his "bucket list."
