2023-24: Posted a 71.9 stroke average on the season with five top-25 finishes… Four of those five finishes saw Carper rank within the top-20, with his best finish coming in his final tournament of his career… Placed 7th at the Big West Championship where he shot, 71-73-73… Rounds out his amazing career as an Aggie with a fourth straight All-Big West selection… Carper leaves Davis as a two-time First Teamer, one-time Second Teamer, and one-time honorable mention… El Macero Classic: Placed 16th out of 104, scoring +6… Cowboy Classic: Secured 87th place out of 120, with a score of +5… The Goodwin: Took 168th place out of 168, score not applicable (N/A)… The Prestige: Finished 94th out of 120, with a score of +8… Amer Ari Intercollegiate: Ended up 63rd out of 124, scoring -6… Alister MacKenzie Invitational: Placed 34th out of 80, with a score of -2… Windon Memorial Classic: Took 53rd place out of 84, ending with a score of +1… USF Howard Intercollegiate: Finished 10th out of 80, scoring -6… Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational: Secured 24th place out of 120, with a score of +1… Marquette Intercollegiate: Placed 17th out of 78, scoring +5.
2022-2023: Started in all nine tournaments for the Aggies… Named All Big-West Conference Second Team… Carper finished in the top-10 in four events… His best finish came at the Husky Invitational where he tied for third and carded a 5-under 67 second round… He finished fifth at the Marquette Intercollegiate where he fired for a 2-under 68 first round and 3-under 67 final round… Finished tied-for-seventh at the El Macero Classic, where he carded all rounds under par including a 4-under 68 second round… And had a 10th place finish at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic… Out of 27 rounds of play, six were carded in the 60’s… He fired for his best round at 7-under 65 in the first-round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic… He ended the season in first place for the Aggies team with an average score of 73.26.
2021-2022: Started in all 12 tournaments for the Aggies… Out of the 36 rounds of play, eight were carded in the 60’s and four on par… Named Big West Golfer of the Month in March of 2022… Named to the All-Big West Conference first team… His best finish was second in the Goodwin tournament firing a 198 for 12-under par, with a 65 in the second round … Claimed the 14th spot in the Big West Championship where he shot 3-over 216… Tied for 58th in the NCAA Stockton Regional for firing five-over the 221 par… Also placed top-25 in six of the 12 events played–three of which were top-20 finishes… Ended the season with a 72.06 season scoring average, improving upon his previous season by two-less strokes… Placed second for the Aggies team… Finished the season ranked 52nd for the region and 213th for the division.
2020-21: Started all six regular season tournaments for the Aggies… Became the fourth different UC Davis golfer to win the Big West Conference individual title, logging his first career collegiate win with a 7-under 209 to win by five shots… Matched the school’s single-round conference championship record with a second-round 67, while his 209 was the second-lowest 54-hole score by a UC Davis golfer at a Big West championship… Finished with a 74.43 season scoring average, posting three rounds in the 60s and nine of his 21 rounds at par or better on the year… Also scored a 67 in the final round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic en route to a tie for 39th at 1-over 217, while firing a 68 in the final round of The Prestige… Was the Aggies’ top finisher at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, ending in a tie for 23rd with a 5-over 221... Earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Regionals thanks to his Big West championship win, finishing in a tie for 43rd with an 11-over 227.
2019-20: Competed in all eight regular season events for the Aggies… Finished with a 73.75 stroke average over 24 rounds — good for second on the team — with three rounds in the 60s and nine of his 24 rounds at par or better… Posted three top-25 finishes in his debut campaign, including a season-best tie for 12th at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite in the season opener, posting a 2-under 214 with a low round of 69… Also finished in a tie for 23rd at the Trinity Forest Invitational at 1-under (a season-best 54-hole total of 212) with a low final round of 70… Added a tie for 23rd at the Southwestern Invitational to open the spring portion of the schedule, finishing with a 4-over 220 with a low round of 71… Tied his low round of the season with a final round 69 at the Amer Ari Invitational and a first-round 69 at UC Davis’ own The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab.
LELAND HS ’19
Three-year varsity letter winner… Three-year team captain and team MVP… Helped lead the Chargers to at least a share of the Blossom Valley Athletic League crown in all three of his prep seasons… Helped guide his team to a sixth-place CIF Central Coast Section finish as a junior in 2018… Finished tied for second individually at the 2016 section championships as a freshman, and ended third at the league championships.
PERSONAL
Parents are Scott and Min… His godmother, Liz Dunlap, is a UC Davis alumna... Lists his favorite facility as Spyglass Hill GC… Lists carding two eagles in one round at the 2019 Arizona Open as his career sports highlight… Wants to either become a PGA professional or a Formula1 race car fabricator or designer.
