Tyler Mundy is in his first year with UC Davis men's basketball, joining the program prior to the start of the 2021-22 season.
He primarily assists Director of Basketball Operations Ryan Oliver while overseeing practice operations and team managers.
A Davis native who graduated from Davis High, Mundy returns to the area after earning a bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in business in 2021.
In Lawrence, Mundy spent time as a practice squad player for the Jayhawks' women's basketball team and nearly two years as a sales intern for The Aspire Group, working for the athletic department in donor relations and ticketing.
He was also a data intern for the Kansas K Club organizing baseline data and conducting quantitative analysis on former student-athletes to enhance donor engagement and K Club revenue generation.
From May to August of 2019, Mundy served as a research assistant to former UC Davis Athletics Director Kevin Blue gathering and researching statistics to correlate head coaching salaries to media revenue growth in addition to other duties as requested.
