Barton athletics saw instant success upon Shubert’s arrival, winning 17 Conference Carolina’s championships, coaching multiple all-americans, an NSCA all-american, and numerous all-conference performers. He was instrumental in the development of Barton’s newly added football program, coached six men’s basketball athletes who signed professional contracts, and helped mentor multiple student-athletes now working as full time sports performance coaches. The Philadelphia, PA area native brings a wealth of basketball experience as both a player and coach; playing professionally for club Botafogo F.R. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and as an assistant basketball coach at Bayard Rustin High School, Barton College, and a camp operations manager for the Hoop Group.

His sports performance professional experience began as a basketball operations intern for the Springfield Armor, the NBA G-League affiliate for the Brooklyn Nets. Shubert then worked as the strength and conditioning intern for men’s basketball at the University of Michigan helping develop seven future NBA players.

Shubert is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (Level 1), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the American Heart Association (CPR & First Aid).
