In addition to directing UC Davis basketball's video operations, Artis will film, edit and analyze practices and games — a crucial resource used by members of the coaching staff to accelerate player development — by coding and cataloguing every play that takes place, in addition to collecting and organizing statistical data throughout the season.

Artis' additional responsibilities include the preparation of opponent video packages to help the team scout upcoming opponents, creating highlight films for team use and recruiting purposes, coordinating film exchange in accordance with Big West Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, developing, maintaining and organizing the program's video library.

He will also assist basketball staff with its annual summer camp programming and production.

The Columbus, Ohio native joins the Aggies after spending nearly five years assistant Ohio State's men's basketball program as a student manager. In this multi-faceted position, he organized and conducted numerous off-court tasks for OSU's staff, recorded statistical information for use by players and coaches, assisted equipment operations colleagues by keeping inventory and maintaining all equipment used by the program. He also served as a staff member for the team's summer camps and assisted with event operations,

After graduating rom Columbus Africentric Early College High School in 2014, Artis earned his communications degree last December.
