2021-22: Appeared in 12 games with one start in his final season as an Aggie while continuing to fill a role as a valuable locker room presence...Scored in all but two his appearances, including eight points vs. Sacramento State on Nov. 23, 2021 and six points on 2-3 shooting from three against Cal State Fullerton in the season finale on Mar. 10...Shot career-high .385 from deep and .750 from the free throw line.
2020-21: Will not use a year of eligibility, and maintain his current status, due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… Recorded four points and three rebounds in the Aggies’ series opener vs. Long Beach State (2/12), and finished with six points and three rebounds the following day against the Beach (2/13)... Hit a career-high four threes to finish with 12 points at CSUN (2/6); also posted a career-high six rebounds in that same game… Made 3 of 6 shots in the team’s Big West opener vs. UCSB (1/29) and earned six of the Aggies’ 13 bench points… Played a season-high 32 minutes the following night… Scored a career-high 14 points on five field goals, another career high, at Santa Clara (11/27)… Nailed all three of his three-point shots, and both attempts at the line, to finish with 11 points vs. Nicholls State (11/25) in the team’s season opener at the Bronco Invitational (11/25).
2019-20: Hit a basket from three, collected three rebounds, blocked a shot and earned an assist vs. Holy Names (1/4)... Scored six points, by hitting both of his attempts from three, and collected four rebounds in his Aggie debut vs. William Jessup (11/7).
2018-19: Redshirted.
ST. JOSEPH NOTRE DAME HS '18: Earned four varsity letters... Averaged 11.0 ppg as a sophomore... That season, his team won North Coast Section and CIF State Division V championships... The following season, Ba averaged 14.0 ppg for a squad that posted a perfect 12-0 league record and won a NCS Division IV title... Named team co-captain his junior season; also earned all-league first team honors... Selected team co-captain, collected all-league first team and conference playoff MVP accolades... Averaged 11.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 3.4 apg and 2.0 spg, led the team in minutes played per game and led St. Joseph to another undefeated conference record... That season, SJND advanced to the NCS championship game... Ended his career with 1,271 points and 213 three-point baskets.
PERSONAL: The oldest of Yvonne and Mbissane Ba's two children... Alexa is his sister... His mother attended UC Davis and graduated in 1991... Sleep Train Arena is his favorite facility that he has played in... Winning a state championship during his sophomore season is his career sports highlight... Favorite movie is Spider Man... Hobbies include playing ping pong, chess and watching football... Chose UC Davis because several family members are Aggie alums, the school's academics are world-class, the opportunity to compete for a successful Division I program, the sense of community and coaching staff.
