HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner, prepped at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, California … Helped his team to three straight Division 3 North Coast Section playoff appearances … As a senior, the Gauchos went 9-2 overall and 6-0 in league play to win the Vine Valley title … According to MaxPreps, made 157 tackles, including 25 TFLs and 20.5 sacks in his three years on varsity … Also forced three fumbles, recorded one, and blocked three kicks (two punts, one FG) … In just five games as a senior, made 37 tackles (14.0 TFL), including 11.5 sacks for 79 total loss of yards … Rated as a three-star prospect by 247sports, On3 and ESPN, and a two-star recruit by Rivals … Chose the Aztecs over offers from Washington State, Air Force, Nevada, Army West Point and Eastern Michigan, and some FCS schools.
