UC Davis Athletics

Amrit Ahluwalia enters his first year as a volunteer assistant at UC Davis after spending seven years (2005-12) on the U.S. Men's National Field Hockey Team and U.S. Men's Junior National Field Hockey Team (2002-09).

Ahluwalia is excited to bring his wealth of experience both as a player and a coach to the field hockey program. Ahluwalia joins the Aggies after playing in the 2005 Pan American Junior Championships (Havana, Cuba), 2008 Pan American Junior Championships (Port of Spain) and the 2009 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup (Malaysia/Singapore). 

He earned his first cap with the Senior National Team at the Trinidad & Tobago tour (Port of Spain, Trinidad) in 2007. During his time with the National Team, he earned multiple Player of the Match nominations while playing a pivotal role as a midfielder and a defender.

Hailing from Irvine, California, Ahluwalia received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from UCLA and currently attends the UC Davis School of Medicine.
