Maul has 18 years of equestrian experience, starting as young as five when she helped her parents move cattle, flashing forward to when she was nine competing at a national level. She has qualified for the World Show, earning the title of World Champion in the trail in 2015. She has also been named third in the world for Horsemanship in 2019 and has placed in the finals every year from 2010-2019.

Maul is a 2023 Fresno State graduate from Kearney, Nebraska. Following her Agriculture Education major with an animal science emphasis, she is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction.

During her time as a Bulldog, she was a three-time captain from the 2022-2024 seasons. She was named NCEA Academic All-American First Team from 2021-2024, and garnered the All Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Month accolade in March 2022.
