Led team with a .337 batting average, 11 doubles, 8 home runs, 47 RBIs and 94 total bases while also striking out 35 batters and earning 2 wins and 5 saves in 21 appearances... Helped San Mateo win seventh straight North Coast division title and earn playoff appearance.

SAINT FRANCIS HS [apos]06: Earned first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) honors as a senior with a 7-2 record and a 1.57 ERA... Also named first-team All-Palo Alto Daily News and Central Coast Section honorable mention... Served as a team captain that season... Played on 2004 SFHS team that went 29-3 and won a WCAL championship.
PERSONAL: Born in Stanford, Calif.... Majoring communication... Parents are Mark & Kazuko Busbin, both of whom he lists as his non-sports heroes... Career highlight was hitting two home runs and then earning a save in a victory over league rival Cañada College... Best facility he[apos]s played at was Principal Park in Des Moines, Iowa, home of the Chicago Cubs[apos] AAA team.
