CASTRO VALLEY HS ’17: Helped Castro Valley HS to third place finish in the WACC League in 2016… First team all-league selection, named NCS conference player of the year, and named first-team All-State as a junior… Helped his team to a second-place league finish in 2017… Selected to the All-WACC second-team as a senior… Ended the 2017 season with a 1.47 ERA and 56 strikeouts… Named USA Baseball national team championships “Pitcher of the Day”… Selected as an Under Armor pre-season All-American… Named honorable mention for perfect game All-American… Graduated with honors.

PERSONAL: Born in San Ramon, Calif… Nutrition science major… Parents are Bill and Sara Mascio… has a younger brother, Alex, and an older sister Katherine who graduated from UCLA in 2011… Member of the NorCal Young Guns Club based out of Livermore, Calif., from 2015-2017… Lists Manny Ramirez as his sports hero.
